Your new favorite dip to bring to all the summer picnics and barbeques.
Ingredients:
- 1 package Bacon, cooked and finely chopped
- 2 Avocados, ripe
- 1 cup Mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup Sour Cream
- 1 cup chopped scallions
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley flakes
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
- Black Pepper
- 1 cup Monterey Jack cheese
- 1 head of romaine lettuce, finely shredded
- 1 container cherry tomatoes, chopped
Directions:
- Place avocado in a food processor and puree until smooth. Add pureed Avocado into a seperate bowl.
- In bowl with Avocado, add mayonnaise, sour cream, scallions, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, parsley, basil, pepper, Monterey Jack cheese and half of the bacon. Mix together.
- Place avocado ranch mixture into separate serving dish, if not serving from the mixing bowl.
- On top of avocado ranch mixture spread the lettuce, tomatoes and the rest of the bacon.
- Serve with tortilla, crostini or favorite cracker.
Note: If you are short on time you can skip the scallions and herbs and use the half of a prepackaged ranch seasoning mix as well as using the already bagged shredded lettuce in the salad mix section of the supermarket.
